Pesto Cream Sauce





Creamy Wakame Pesto

This delicious Wakame pesto base can be used as a spread on crackers, or turned into a cream sauce perfect for pasta dishes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup dried Wakame  
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup shredded swiss cheese
  • 4 cloves peeled garlic
  • 1/4-1/2 cup of olive oil (start with 1/4 and add as needed)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Wakame Pesto Base

  1. Place all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth
At this point you can use the base as a spread on crackers or bread Creamy Wakame Pesto Sauce
  1. Pour 1 cup milk into a saucepan over medium-low heat
  2. Add pesto
  3. Stir frequently until uniformly warm and mixed
Serve creamy Wakame pesto sauce over linguine or your pasta of choice!
