Creamy Wakame Pesto
This delicious Wakame pesto base can be used as a spread on crackers, or turned into a cream sauce perfect for pasta dishes
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/4 cup dried Wakame
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1 cup shredded swiss cheese
- 4 cloves peeled garlic
- 1/4-1/2 cup of olive oil (start with 1/4 and add as
needed)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Wakame Pesto Base
- Place all ingredients in food processor and blend
until smooth
At this point you can use the base as a spread on crackers or bread
Creamy Wakame Pesto Sauce
- Pour 1 cup milk into a saucepan over medium-low heat
- Add pesto
- Stir frequently until uniformly warm and mixed
Serve creamy Wakame pesto sauce over linguine or your pasta of choice!
